The Croydon Guardian has been named free weekly newspaper of the year at a media awards ceremony in Brighton.
Our paper beat Crawley News and Bexley Times to land the honour at EDF Energy's London and South of England Journalism Awards.
And our sister website - yourlocalguardian.co.uk - won website of the year.
More than 25 publications and broadcasters were vying for awards at the ceremony, which was held at Brighton's Corn Exchange.
Croydon Guardian assistant editor Danny Brierley said: "We knew we were in with a shout.
"Our newspaper is always packed full of great exclusives and essential local information, and it doesn't cost our readers a penny."
