A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of South Norwood rapper Umar Tufail.
The 18-year-old attended a south London police station this morning and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Umar, 25, was sat in the driver's seat of his car outside his home in Wharncliffe Road, South Norwood, when he was shot at about 4.35pm last Sunday.
He was taken to Kings College Hospital where he died the next day from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police believe the suspect or suspects were in a grey car at the time of the shooting.
It is believed the vehicle pulled up alongside Umar's car and a shot was fired through and open window, before the suspect vehicle drove off towards Grange Road, Thornton Heath.
DCI Lee Watling said: "I would reiterate my appeal for anyone who may have seen this suspect vehicle in the vicinity or has any information on its movements before or after the shooting, to come forward."
Anyone with information should call the incident room on 0208 247 4554 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
