Radio 4 comedian Arthur Smith entertained customers in an Oxfam on Sunday.
Mr Smith gave a reading from his memoir My Name is Daphne Fairfax in Oxfam Balham, in Balham High Road.
The Balham resident also entertained the packed out store with poetry readings.
His performance was the conclusion to a fortnight of events and activities for Bookfest, a celebration of books taking part in Oxfam shops.
The festival aims to highlight how buying a book from Oxfam can help those living in poverty.
Jack O’Carroll, an Oxfam Volunteer said: "It went really well, Arthur Smith was hilarious and everyone enjoyed it."
Mr Smith donated several copies of his book to the Balham shop in support of the charity.
