Police are searching for a man who forced a teenager to kiss him three times after grabbing her face as she walked home.

The 18-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of Thursday, July 12, as she walked home along Westway, in Caterham.

The man, who is described as Asian, aged about 21 to 25, about 5ft 7in, of small build with short, wavy black hair, approached the woman at 12.30am and asked for a kiss.

When she refused he followed her continually asking, grabbed her by the side of her head and forcibly kissed her three times.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kerry Akehurst said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or who was on the number 466 bus from East Croydon bus station around this time to contact officers with information.

“Although the victim was not hurt it was a frightening ordeal for her and we need to catch the man responsible.”
