A loaded pistol and several thousand pounds of forged bank notes were seized by police from a Streatham house last week.

Police recovered a loaded .410 shot pistol and the forged £10 bank notes from the address in Kendal Court, Ambleside Avenue, on July 18.

A 25-year-old man, believed to be from Tulse Hill, was arrested at the same time for possession of a firearm and counterfeit currency.

The arrested man has not been charged and was bailed to return to a South London police station on Sept 4.

Lambeth’s police team for investigating drug and firearm incidents and the fire arms command carried out the raid in response to intelligence.
