Not everyone has the money or time to get to the gym.

However, everyone can now access a new outdoor gym installed in Cheam recreation ground.

The gym has been funded through Sutton Council's Public Realm Scheme which allows groups and projects to apply for grants and improve their communities.

Similar outdoor gym equipment has been installed in Beddington Park and Roundshaw Park.

Cheam councillor, Mary Burstow, said: "As well as the physical and mental benefits, we hope the playground will encourage users to socialise and have fun together.

“The equipment is designed to be used by people of all ages, not just the lycra clad, keep fit enthusiasts.

"We are always keen to hear from residents of small capital investments we can make, which they think would improve their area."
