Sutton’s parks have been recognised as some of the best in the country.
Five parks have achieved the green flag award which recognises their facilities and maintenance.
Oaks Park, The Grove, Cheam Park and Cheam Recreation Ground have all retained their honour.
New green flags have been awarded to Beddington Park, The Grange and Nonsuch Park, which is jointly managed with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
Councillor Jill Whitehead, chair of Sutton’s environment and neighbourhoods committee, said: “Achieving five green flags highlights Sutton’s status as one of London’s greenest boroughs.
"I’d like to thank the park staff, volunteers and friends groups for all their hard work making the borough’s parks some of the best in the country.
“Our green spaces are something that residents really value, so it’s great news that they are continuing to go from strength to strength.”
