A woman faces jail for an attack on a woman which left her needing reconstructive surgery on her jaw.
Stacey-May Buncher, 26, punched and kicked her victim in an unprovoked attack in Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, late on October 14 last year.
The woman, 46, had her jaw broken in two places. She remained in hospital for four days while four plates were fitted and her jaw wired.
She lost most of the feeling in her lower lip and was told it may take up to two years for her injuries to heal completely.
Buncher told police she had been drinking at her Wrythe Lane home when she had a row with her boyfriend before going out into the street.
She told police she was grabbed from behind and attacked so she retaliated in self defence.
At Croydon Crown Court on Friday, July 20, Buncher, now of Mill Lane, Carshalton, was found guilty of GBH with intent.
She is due to be sentenced at the same court on September 7.
