Sporting Background: Phelan started coxing at Bedford School in 1995. He graduated from the University of Leicester in 2001 with a degree in Law and took up rowing the following year before joining London Rowing Club.
He Says: "Tough leaving for camp, saying goodbye to 12 week old son. Won't see him till August - at that point I will have missed a 3rd of his life. "
We Say: "Coxing in his first Olympics, this is Hill's first step into the big time. He and his crew have shown good form in the recent World Championships and are a good bet for medal in London."
