Images have been released of a woman wanted after an attempted mobile phone snatch at a tram stop.
A picture of a man who was at the scene has also been released.
The incident took place on July 2 at Sandilands tram stop at about 9pm.
An 18-year-old man from South Norwood got off a tram travelling from New Addington and was waiting to board a second one when he was attacked.
Detective Sergeant Bob Stokoe from the British Transport Police said: “A woman and a man, who he had noticed from his journey, also got off at this stop and were waiting with him. “A short while later, the woman approached him and demanded he give her his phone. As he moved away from the woman, she suddenly struck the man on the side of the head before running away.
“The incident has understandably left the victim feeling shocked and shaken.”
Police are reviewing CCTV and want to speak to anyone who saw the incident.
