A charity providing palliative care for cancer sufferers has received a boost following a 10k fundraising run.
Nancy Richmond, of The Butterfly Appeal, whose late husband Roy Richmond MBE founded the charity in 1991, was delighted to accept £2,500 from Liam Hart, who took part in the run on June 17.
Mr Hart works at the National Counties Building Society, one of the event’s sponsors.
Mrs Richmond said: "The 10k run is a great event which helps to raise awareness of The Butterfly Appeal.
"We are grateful to National Counties for their support and are thrilled to receive the donation of £2,500 which will help us continue to provide support to local cancer patients."
