Commuters can expect serious delays at stations across London as eager Olympic spectators and the Monday morning rush hour collide.
Transport for London is predicting severe congestion at a number of transport hubs with thousands of spectators expected to be travelling to the Olympic Park in Stratford, The Excel in Greenwich and Eton Dorney for the rowing.
London Bridge, Clapham Junction, North Greenwich and Greenwich stations are highlighted as areas of major concern in South London, while on the district line from Earls Court south through to Wimbledon every station is highlighted for minor delays.
TfL is recommending rail users completely avoid London Bridge if possible, due to Equestrian events in Greenwich.
For the entire Games period, all passengers must enter London Bridge station via the forecourt on London Bridge Street and today passengers are advised to use alternative stations such as Cannon Street, Charing Cross and Blackfriars.
