A man accused of stabbing a BMX biker outside a Croydon pub has denied murder.
Carlton McKay of St Paul's Road, Thornton Heath, allegedly stabbed Chris Isted in the heart outside The Ship pub in the early hours of March 31.
Mr McKay, 27, is also accused of the attempted murder of firefighter Kevin Millward, on the same night.
The 25-year-old was taken to hospital and later discharged.
Mr Isted, 25, was a keen BMX cyclist and was due to become a father when he died.
Mr McKay, who appeared at the Old Bailey this morning, was remanded in custody and will stand trial on October 1.
