An inspirational 15-year-old carried the Olympic torch through Enfield last week.
Josephine Baker, of Chadacre Road in Stoneleigh and a student at Nonsuch High in Cheam, has battled three brain tumours and was nominated by her mum.
She said: "I really enjoyed running with the torch and still can’t believe I was chosen to do it.
"I think I can honestly say it was the best day of my life and I will remember it forever.
"The crowds were phenomenal - so supportive and excited about the torch.
"The torchbearer bus was an experience in itself as I got to join together with other people to celebrate a truly special day for all of us.
"Although I was slightly nervous at the start, the day was filled with nothing but joy and excitement.
"I am so grateful for the once in a lifetime opportunity I was given."
