A chamber choir has represented Epsom on the international stage.
Sponsalia, founded and chaired by Janee Foxon, and conducted by Beresford Bell, specialises in singing for weddings, but was delighted to accept an invitation to represent Epsom at the Second European Choral Festival in Brussels, Belgium.
The festival was hosted and organised by the Music Academie and Twinning Committee of Watermaël-Boitsfort.
Sponsalia singers performed alongside four other choirs from around Brussels, and three from other European towns twinned with Watermaël-Boitsfort, including Chantilly, and a children’s choir from Budapest.
The choir will be in the line-up of performers at Epsom in Harmony on September 28, at the Duchess Stand in Epsom Downs Racecourse, as part of Epsom and Ewell’s 75th anniversary.
