Streatham’s Got Talent auditions are under way in search of the areas next young stars.
Fifteen singers and musicians are in rehearsals at The White Lion in the High Road and auditions are still open to anyone aged between five and 21.
One of the judges Councillor Judy Best said they had been very impressed by the talent so far.
"We are going to get the acts really polished. It’s really exciting," Coun Best said, adding that the first prize was an I-pad.
Streatham’s Got Talent, hosted by charity Music 4 Children, is part of an effort to turn the pub into more of a community hub.
Auditions are between noon and 4pm every day this week, except Wednesday, and on Aug 12 at The White Lion.
