Pleased: Jacqueline Wilson with Hannah Nicholas, six, the winner of St Edmunds School
Award-winning author Jacqueline Wilson presented prizes to youngsters who wrote stories for a competition about the natural world and the Victorians.
The former children’s laureate met winners during a ceremony at the Holly Lodge Centre in Richmond Park.
The Holly Lodge Centre’s Storymakers initiative works with youngsters with special needs and those from deprived areas.
Dame Jacqueline presented prizes to pupils from Linden Bridge School, St Richard’s School, St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School, Holy Trinity School and Ibstock Place School on Thursday, July 12.
