A flower meadow has been destroyed by joyriders in Beddington Park.
The Friends of Beddington Park planted the wild flower meadow on Tuesday, April 17.
Over the last three months the flowers had grown tall and were a bright yellow colour.
Jill Hansen from the Friends of Beddington Park said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken. It’s so destructive – why do they do it?
“People were starting to notice it – it was a beautiful yellow.”
The destruction took place over the weekend.
It was hoped that the flowers would encourage butterflies and bees to the park.
Sutton Council and the Royal Horticultural Society supplied the seeds.
