Wheelchair races at a care home in Claygate celebrated the start of the Olympic Games on Friday, July 27.
The therapy department at Wingham Court, a Bupa care centre, organised the Olympic fun day.
The day’s events included wheelchair agility against the clock, wheelchair races and wheelchair basketball.
It concluded with a staff football match.
Councillor Jan Fuller and assistant sports development coach Mary West attended the games in the morning and the mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Janet Turner, awarded medals to the winning teams and individuals.
A spokesman for the care home said: “Both residents and staff entered into the competitive spirit of the games with enthusiasm and a great time was had by all.”
