Purley John Fisher 7
Chichester 3
Purley John Fisher went top of the London Three south east division after beating previous leaders Chichester on Saturaday.
The visitors took the lead early in the first half by converting a penalty, which turned out to be their only score.
Last week's man-of-the-match, Campbell-Carson, scored for the home side with a well-taken try from broken play. Stuart Sorrell converted to give them a 7-3 lead at the break.
In the second half the hosts managed to hold on and, unfortunately, missed two clear opportunities to add further points.
The best chance fell to Ryan Tracey, who sadly dropped the ball when clearly over for a try.
Purley John Fisher were able to withstand strong pressure from the visitors.
They dominated the scrums with Michael Lorraine particularly impressive at line-outs alongside 19-year-old fly-half Tom Campbell, who put in a fine performance.
Next week Purley John Fisher are at home to Old Hamptonians in a Cup tie and their next league fixture, which will not be an easy game, will be away to Folkestone.
