A documentary about beaten footballer Robbie Hughes’ dreams of playing Paralympic football will appear on TV next week.
Mr Hughes needed four life-saving operations after he was left in a coma by the attack in Malia, Crete, in 2008. He narrowly missed a place in the 2012 Team GB Paralympic football squad.
The programme is part of the Best of British series profiling athletes aiming to reach the Paralympics.
The episode follows the footballer and his family as they deal with his brain injury, and how it affects his chance of selection.
Best of British: Mind Game, Wednesday August 8, 12.15am, Channel 4.
