A lawyer is preparing to embark on a 1,500 mile "mercy mission" to help impoverished children.
Warren Moores, 26, from South Wimbledon and based at Simpson Millar’s office in Wimbledon, will be joining a convoy of lorries in September organised by the Communication Workers Union
Humanitarian Aid (CWUHA) to deliver clothes, toys and medical equipment to orphanages and hospitals in Lithuania.
Mr Moores will be joined by Allison Chatto, the firm's trade union liaison, as they make their way across Europe behind the wheel of a 7.5 tonne lorry.
He said: "The CWUHA convoy is a hugely worthwhile initiative which makes a tangible difference to the lives of thousands of children every year.
"Because the aid is delivered in person by volunteers like myself and Allison, we get to witness the impact it makes first-hand."
Volunteers from Simpson Millar have taken part in the CWUHA convoy for more than a decade.
