Performing in front of a live audience of more than 62,000 people, and millions more TV spectators, is quite a daunting task.
But for one dancer the chance to perform in the Olympic opening ceremony was a dream come true.
Filipe de Barros, 29, a personal trainer from Hook, said performing in the 1970s dance section of the ceremony in an all-in-one bright orange suit was incredible.
He said: “It was amazing just being in the tunnel ready to go out and then running out. “There was so much energy.”
“It really was incredible with everyone cheering and running off and being high fived by everyone.”
Hearing impaired dancer Rob Lowe, 45, of New Malden, also performed.
