A chemical alert led to the evacuation of a recycling plant.
The fire and ambulance services attended the scene of an incident at a community recycling centre, on Randalls Road in Leatherhead, on Thursday at 1.15pm, in response to reports of a strong smell of gas.
A Leatherhead fire officer said: "Once there, we realised three people were affected by fumes inside the sorting warehouse.
"We went in with monitoring equipment and wearing breathing apparatus, but we didn’t detect anything harmful.
"The building had been fully evacuated before we arrived."
Three people were treated at the scene for inhalation of fumes, but did not require hospital treatment.
