Hundreds of residents are handing out leaflets as police continue to search for missing schoolgirl Tia Sharp.
Since the 12-year-old was reported missing volunteers have contacted community group New Addington Pathfinders (NAP) to find out how they can help in the search.
Over 20,000 posters have been printed and distributed across Croydon and surrounding areas.
Kirsty Pearce of NAP said the group was continuing to work with police to organise the search.
She said: "We have been co-ordinating searches with the police who have told us where to search, how to search and what to so with anything we find."
Paul Wellecomme said today the group's focus would be to hand out more leaflets.
He said: "Today is about more leafletting if anyone wants to come and help they can.
"The idea is to target all the businesses that were closed over the weekend, all the busses and trams.
"The more flyers and people we can get, we can get around all the tram stops."
Rebecca Bulled came to the Octogan to collect posters of Tia.
She said: "She needs to come home and be with her family, it is not right she shouldn't be out there on her own."
New Addington Councillor Tony Pearson said he was proud of how the community had come together.
He said: "I am proud to represent New Addington and I am very proud to live here.
"New Addington gets a lot of bad press but at times like this the community really come together."
Anyone who has seen Tia or knows of her whereabouts should call the incident room on 0208 721 4005 or Missing People on 116 000.
