Independent businesses under threat from supermarket giant Tesco have benefited from a project to raise their profile.
Walton Business Group (WBG) has been working with members at the Halfway for the past few months to raise the profile of the parade, which offers a wide range of goods and services.
The area has several independent retailers as well as food outlets and comes complete with free and village rate parking.
The WBG has promoted the parade through social media and Union Jacks were put up for the diamond jubilee and throughout the London Olympics.
On August 2, four large banners were also put up welcoming shoppers to the Halfway.
Sarah-Jane Shellard, WBG director, said: “It is very exciting to see the completion of these initial projects for the Halfway.
“This is a great example of members working together to improve the shopping experience and promote local businesses.”
