As the search for missing Tia Sharp enters it fifth day, her family wait anxiously at her grandmother's home in The Lindens where the 12-year-old was last seen.

There is no police presence in New Addington this morning.

Tia's grandmother Christine Sharp and step-dad David Niles recently returned to the house with shopping.

Mr Niles told waiting reporters: "I just want to find my little girl.

"We are in bits, I am in bits, her mother is in bits, I don't know what to do.

"Imagine if it was your little 12 year old. We have done everything possible you can imagine. The whole country is helping."

The builder, 29, said: "We just keep looking for her, keep appealing for her.

"I haven't slept for four days nor has my girlfriend. Natalie is in bits, absolute bits, how would it feel if it was your girl?

"I last saw her on Thursday morning when I was going to work. She was with her friend on the couch, her friend stayed the night before.

"I know I'm not her real dad but I've been there since day dot. She's my little girl and I want her back.

"I have fed her, bathed her, I just want my little girl home."

The last person believed to have seen Tia was her grandmother's boyfriend Stuart Hazell, but today Mr Niles said police were investigating whether that was the case.

"She said bye to Stuart, she left the house alone. She always took her phone but it was charging, I think she just left it behind and the Oyster card she just left it behind."
