Police are hunting a “brazen attacker” who tricked his way into a home before sexually assaulting a woman.
An e-fit image of the man has been released following the assault which happened at about 2pm on Thursday, May 24, at a residential address in the Pollards Hill area.
The victim, who is in her 20's, was alone in the house at the time and had been expecting a delivery.
After answering the door a man was able to gain entrance to the house where he stayed for about 15 minutes during which the woman was sexually assaulted., police ssaid.
The man is described as a black male, of a slim build with short dark hair and had scratches on his face.
He was wearing trainers with a Nike tick, a dark coloured hoodie, a white T shirt with a multi coloured flag on the front similar to the Union Jack and black tracksuit bottoms with white small stripes or dashes down each side and a "lion" logo.
Detective Inspector Keith Ward, from the Metropolitan Police’s sapphire based at Sutton, said: "This man was able to trick his way into the house and assault the victim in her own home in.
“It was a brazen attack in the middle of the afternoon. If you know him, call us as he must be stopped."
