The other Saturday morning I was woken at 6.30am by the noise created by the operations for the collection of materials intended for recycling by this council.
The collection lorry was parked outside Richmond Court and blocking Richmond Road to where the bins (six) were wheeled, upturned and emptied directly into the rear of the lorry.
It took 10 minutes for the noise of the "trundling" of these bins to and from the lorry and the upturning of their content to cease.
The designated location of the wheelie bins is just metres away from my property and its windows.
The depositing of bottles, cans and paper into these bins occurs at all hours of the normal day and into the unsocial hours of late evening and early mornings.
The more disturbing noises consist of bottles crashing, rolling over each other and of breaking glass, in addition to the drumming noises from the plastic bins.
It becomes difficult to discern whether or not criminal activity is being perpetrated to roadside vehicles or neighbouring properties. I am informed the above mentioned collections are regularly before 7am.
I require some action from this council to remedy the noise pollution arising directly from current and unsatisfactory state of affairs.
