Merton Abbey Mills will host a celebration of the closing of the Paralympics with an afternoon of community entertainment incorporating live music and performances.
The line up will include The Hackney Colliery Band who had the honour of playing at the Olympics closing ceremony.
Joining them will be hip hop group Native Sun; pop funk act No Limits; The Autistix; 10-piece jazz act Freedom Sound; Wimbledon Community Chorus; Merton Abbey Opera and
solo artists David Grout and Astrid Brook.
The free event forms part of the 2012 Bandstand Marathon which will see more than 500 events taking place in bandstands and other open spaces across the UK to mark the final day of the Paralympic Games on September 9.
There will be a host DJ compering local acts for open mic slots together with interactive family workshops in music and singing.
The event is being held in collaboration with the London Borough of Merton.
