Leatherhead boss Dave Harlow has described this weekend's FA Cup clash with AFC Sudbury as the biggest match of his managerial career.
The Tanners face Kingstonian's FA Trophy conquerors for a place in the first round proper for the first time in 26 years on Saturday.
The Fetcham Grove chief reached that stage of the competition as a player with Ks - among others - and hopes he can keep his players' emotions in check long enough to repeat the feat as a manager.
"I have only been in charge for two years and this would be my biggest game as a manager, when you think of what is at stake," he said.
"We got to the third qualifying round last year and we want to go a step further.
"I think it will be hard-fought game. I have 11 players willing to put a foot in to fight for everything and that isn't very nice to play against.
"They are beatable and I expect a full-blooded battle.
"We can hurt them with pace and width, but it will be the side who can control their passion and play football that will come through."
Leatherhead warmed up for the clash with a 1-0 FA Trophy victory over Rothwell Town, thanks to a first-half Scott Bennetts strike in first-half injury time.
Goalkeeper Paul Borg was up to anything Rothwell could throw at him and it will be interesting to see who emerges as first choice now that Chris Gibson is fit.
Rothwell's second-half pressure brought them a hotly disputed penalty when Jamie Beer clearly won the ball, but Chris Defante sent the spot kick wide.
Leatherhead: Borg, Beer, Gray (Harper), Duncan, Carpenter, Doherty, Bolger, Sargent, Charles-Smith, Bennetts, Stevens (Thompson).
The dual cup runs, including a succession of replays, mean the Tanners have not played a league game for more than a month, which is likely to cause an inevitable fixture pile-up They face Dartford in Ryman Division One South 48 hours after the Sudbury match - unless another replay is required - with Leatherhead looking to convert their games in hand into points on the table.
Harlow will not be wanting any fall-out from Saturday's match to blow his promotion-chasing side off course from the ultimate goal of Premier Division action next season.
"We haven't played in the league for so long, it will be a big moment when we get back to the bread and butter of winning points," he added.
"We need to get wins under our belts as soon as we can because those games in hand can suddenly slip away."
Leatherhead face Southern Premier side Team Bath in the next qualifying round of the FA Trophy on November 4.
