I would endorse Councillor Jack Pinkerton's comments made in your paper on October 19, and at the same time, thank all of the political parties for their support in getting this application rejected.

At the Council planning meeting on October 11, a spokesman for Charles Morris (Fertilisers Ltd) claimed, that things have changed since being granted (in 1996) a temporary extension of ten years.

Ten years ago, Charles Morris (Ltd) gave its word to restore the site to green belt land, and not make any further planning applications. In this respect things have changed, mainly the word of Mr Morris.

In other respects not much has changed. One only has to look at the trees and shrubs around Oakleaf Farm to see the extend of the dust.

This site should be restored (as promised).
