I read with interest your article entiltled Surgery will return to village' published on October 12.
I would respectfully like to point out that nothing substantially has changed since the PCT announced which GP surgery would be taking over the GP provision in Wraysbury.
To say the people of Wraysbury's fears that the GP surgery would be transferred out of town were "dispelled" by this announcement is quite wrong.
The surgery remains in a thoroughly unsuitable premises in Colnbrook.
What the people of Wraysbury want are not mere back-patting and reassurances from the PCT that we will get a surgery in Wraysbury.
What they want is a clear and reasonable timescale for moving the surgery back to Wraysbury.
It would be very noteworthy if the winning practice from Datchet were able to provide this concrete reassurance.
The people feel very strongly that in due course when all the fuss has died down, there wil be a quiet announcement that no suitable premises can be found and the patients wil have to go to Datchet anyway.
Can the Datchet practice and Dr Dalton dispel this fear?
