A robber grabbed a cash box full of money from outside a Chessington bank yesterday afternoon.
Police confirmed a cash in transit robbery took place just outside Lloyds Bank in North Parade at about 3.30pm.
No one was injured and no arrests have been made. A police spokeswoman said: “One male suspect made off with the cash box in a white car containing a further two suspects."
Officers from the Flying Squad at Barnes are investigating the robbery.
A number of shops along the parade were forced to close.
