Four Croydon women are flying to the Big Apple this week to run the New York Marathon to raise money for cancer sufferers.
Alexa Cook, Jennifer Crudgington, Hannah Treadwell and Kimmy Crudginton decided to compete in the race after Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago.
They are hoping to raise almost £7,000 between them which will go to Breast Cancer Care.
Jennifer is still undergoing treatment for the disease and is hoping that by running the race with daughter Hannah, Alexa, and sister in-law Kimmy it will help others.
