The successful Lambeth Country Show not only provided fun for residents earlier this month but was also used to launch a council campaign to help people back into work.
The Lambeth Working Campaign aims to raise awareness of the services available across the borough to help people get work.
Working closely with a number of voluntary organisations and businesses, the Lambeth Working campaign will help people search for jobs, get training to improve their skills, help rebuild confidence and advise on how to balance a job with caring for a family.
Councillor John Kazantzis, cabinet member for employment and enterprise, said: “There are many organisations offering help and guidance in the borough, but people don’t always know where to go to find the support that’s right for them.
"Lambeth Working will point people in the right direction to find work, improve their skills and get support to overcome problems they might face.”
