Interactive football, Laser Quest, a synthetic ice rink and a giant assault course are just some of the activities on offer at a new adventure park opening in Croydon's Centrale Shopping Centre this summer.

The site will be run seven-days-a-week by adventure park specialists Flip Out and span some 30,000 square feet at the centre.

Flip Out said around 75 jobs would also be created by the new store which will be the company's second such 'Super Centre' in the UK.

All in all the attractions include a bumper car track, a glow in the dark ice rink, themed mini golf, a huge inflatable system, Laser Quest, interactive football, a "massive" indoor interactive assault course with huge slides, and an arcade area.

Flip Out Croydon is being brought to you by brother-in-law team Amit Patel and Vishal Patel.

“We are very proud of this park and can’t wait for the people of Croydon to enjoy it time and time again. It is an exceptionally fun space that encourages people of all ages to get away from it all and just play” Flip Out Croydon Co-owner Amit Patel said.

"It's been a difficult year for everyone but now we want to give people an outlet to go have some fun and still be safe.

"The park is due to open this Summer depending on Government guidelines. This park is absolutely jam-packed with a multitude of fantastic activities, and we can't wait for the people of Croydon to enjoy what's on offer!"

The centre will be spread over two floors and will offer fully hosted birthday parties, seasonal family events and corporate events as well as adult only and student nights.

"A 3-hour session costs £20 and the park will offer discounted family pass tickets. Free parking will be provided in the shopping centre for all Flip Out customers seven days a week when attending a session," a spokesperson for the company said.

"Flip Out Croydon caters for kids, teens and adults and has designated themed party rooms, immersive arcade games and competitive interactive activities as well as bar and diner facilities”
