Graveney School pupil Kyle Sinckler was presented with his first England rugby cap after he played for the country in the under 16s section.
Kyle, who is in year 11 at the Tooting school, took part in the four nations tournament in Wales and played all of the England matches.
At the award ceremony in Twickenham earlier this month, he also won the Surrey under 16s player of the season and received his half county colours.
Kyle has been offered a full scholarship at a number of schools including Whitgift, Dulwich College and Trinity schools and is still deciding where to go in September.
Anastacia Szczerbiuk, who accompanied him to the awards, said: “He was very professional and obviously very proud to be at such a ceremony receiving such huge recognition.
“His achievement is all the more poignant as we are not a traditional rugby playing school and Kyle competed for a place in the team against pupils who have played school rugby all their lives.”
