Students at Ernest Bevin College held a basketball competition with celebrity guests earlier this month.
A new way of playing, called B2B, pitches teams with a maximum of four players against each other.
More than 150 people took part in the tournament, co-organised by First Call Housing Foundation, a young people’s charity.
The stars of the show were a team named Da Brothers, who won the under 19s section.
Steve Bucknall, England’s first National Basketball Association player, presented the awards.
Joe Maye, organiser, said: “We aim to provide a positive social activity for young people and get more youths at a grassroots level involved in basketball.”
