A £2.2m cash boost has been secured to bring child and family services under one roof in St Helier.
A new two-storey centre will now be built at Tweeddale extended school to provide space for a play project for children with disabilities.
The extra space will also mean more childcare and healthcare experts on hand for services such as public health and wellbeing services, work-ready interviews, assessments and adult training.
The experts will also be able to help in family support drop-ins sessions for families with older children.
Executive member for children and young people Councillor Tony Brett Young said: “This is excellent news for the local community who will have a say on the design and services provided in the new building.
“This will create a hub of services for children and young people from education and health to housing, play facilities and careers advice, which will benefit the whole local community.”
