Kingston College students have created an animation with BBC21cc to accompany a poetry reading by pop star Jarvis Cocker.
The artist recorded a reading of William Blake’s London for a BBC Radio One show and poetry season.
The animation, which is currently showing on the Radio One website, has received rave reviews.
Student Roisin McCoy said: “This was a great opportunity for us to create a clear way of expressing how we visualised poetry through animation.
“Having it then presented on the Radio One website made us all feel quite proud of what we achieved.”
It was created during a workshop which taught students how to make their art work come to life with animation techniques and the latest software.
Melanie Fryer, project associate at 21cc, said: “The animation has been given rave reviews so please pass on our massive thanks and congrats to all.”
