Children at Sellincourt Primary School got creative on Friday as part of a “go for it” afternoon.
The school in Tooting organised an array of activities including ice skating, photography, science experiments and making and selling chocolates.
The aim was to encourage risk-taking, adventure and entrepreneurial skills, and the event was so successful teachers hope to run it on a weekly basis from September.
Headteacher Johnette Barrett said: “It’s important for the children to be more creative. To some, the curriculum is quite restrictive.
“It’s important for children to see there are other professions than teachers that make the world go around.”
