Olympic gold medal winner Darren Campbell visits Nonsuch Primary School
Olympic gold medal winner Darren Campbell continued his tour of Sutton schools despite having a foot in plaster.
The former sprint star, who tore his Achilles’ tendon last month, gave an inspirational assembly at Nonsuch Primary School last Thursday.
A school spokesman said: “He kept his promise to visit and tell children the tale of achieving his dreams.
“The pupils have raised more than £2,000 for a new lighting system and Team Superschools, which supports emerging athletes.”
