Kids at Alderbrook Primary School gave their headteacher a royal send off last Tuesday with a special goodbye assembly.
Jean Inwood, 58, is retiring after 13 years at the Balham school, which staff said she improved in many ways.
During the assembly children presented old photos and each year group performed songs from each decade of her life.
Mrs Inwood lives in Surrey with her husband Ian.
Simon Minty, spokesman at the school, said: “Everybody’s going to miss her like she wouldn’t believe. We just wish her all the best for the future.”
