Families flocked to an afternoon of fun at Chestnut Grove School in Balham last Tuesday, organised by the school nurse.
Tara Pugh, who spends her days looking after pupils at the school, hit upon the idea to help her kids get healthy this summer.
While pupils put on kids’ activities, parents received free advice courtesy of NHS Wandsworth.
Ms Pugh said: “It’s brilliant that so many local organisations have wanted to be involved, including a local leisure centre, youth group and the police. It’s a real community event and everyone’s welcome to join us on the day.”
