A Brooklands College student has been put forward to receive a bursary from Walton Rotary Club, after not missing a single minute of his catering course.
Daniel Deluce, 17, from Long Ditton, was nominated by Phoebe Alfred, the college’s curriculum manager, for his excellent attendance record and commitment to the course.
Ms Alfred said: “Daniel has overcome a number of personal circumstances this year and I know he will really benefit from this bursary. It will make a huge difference to him.”
Keen to make the best use of the bursary, Daniel has already purchased a laptop with some of the money.
He said: “I have another thing on my list to buy - a beer for my dad!”
