Talented students could win prizes including the chance to lay down a track in a professional recording studio as part of the London Student Awards.
To enter the awards, pupils in years 9 and 10 will have to complete a challenge in one of seven categories: art and design, music, drama, creative writing, ICT, science, or business and enterprise.
Entries will be assessed by judges including Tim Campbell, the winner of series one of BBC show The Apprentice.
One of last year’s winners, Channon Smith from Dagenham, spent a day in a recording studio with Dizzee Rascal.
She said: “It was an amazing experience. I got loads of tips from Dizzee and the producer while I was in the studio, so I also learnt a lot.”
Details of how to enter are available from dcsf.gov.uk/citychallenge/studentawards.
