Strictly Come Dancing star Jade Johnson visited Chestnut Grove School in Balham on Tuesday.
The Olympic athlete, who attended the school ten years ago, taught a group of year 7 pupils the Cha Cha Cha with the help of partner Ian Waite.
The couple were accompanied by BBC film crews, who shot some footage for the programme.
Ms Johnson dedicated herself to athletics as a teenager, and is now a two-times Commonwealth Games and European Championship silver medallist.
Dominic Bergin, deputy headteacher, said: “It was a lovely morning.
"They were highly professional, and they were really nice with our children.
"We wish her the best of luck, and we hope she wins the competition. Based on her moves on Tuesday, she deserves to.”
