Bishop Paul Hendricks was at a Carshalton secondary school to launch a book of religious poems written by students.
St Philomena’s Catholic High School for Girls welcomed Bishop Hendricks to officially launch Faith Revealed – a book of 600 poems written by students and staff.
Religious singer, songwriter and poet Gerry Coates worked with pupils to express their opinions on what having faith means, and what will become of faith in future generations.
Mr Coates is passionate about developing an outlet for young Catholic talent in the arts.
The publication of Faith Revealed is another step in his search for poets, musicians, singers and other artistic and musical talent.
Any proceeds from book sales will go towards the school’s chosen charities.
