Pupils from Shrewsbury Lodge in Milbourne Lane, Esher, played their part last week in the preparations for next year’s Claygate in Bloom festival.
Youngsters from the Green Fingers gardening club and the school’s Green Team joined other volunteers for a busy morning of planting on Thursday, November 26.
Headteacher Gill Hope said: “We are delighted to be a part of the efforts of Claygate in Bloom and we are always keen to support local community initiatives.”
Last year, Claygate received a High Silver Gilt Award from the judges of the South and Southeast in Bloom competition.
